Why I Don't Worry About Vulnerabilities In AI-Written Code

Someone DM’d me asking how I deal with vulnerabilities now that I build custom instead of in WordPress. Fair question, and I didn’t have a good answer, so I went and got the actual data.

I looked up every security incident that hit the stack I build on now over the last five years and compared it to what those same five years look like in WordPress. My list was short enough that I read the whole thing out. One real emergency, a couple of patches, an npm supply chain mess, and two outages I could do nothing about. None of it had anything to do with who wrote my code.
