Every side of the AI shift is coping, and I think it’s the same identity crisis showing up in two different camps. Developers lost control of the syntax, so the defense became “that’s not good code.” The drag-and-drop crowd used to look down on people using Wix and Squarespace for not being technical, and now that the work asks them to get more technical, a lot of them don’t want to.
