I did a lot of travel in 2025 and needed actual luggage because all I had was old hand-me-down stuff. If you’re going on even one trip a year, get yourself some decent luggage. It doesn’t need to be expensive. This isn’t high-end luggage by any standard, and that’s fine.

The two things I care about: hard shell and spinner wheels that articulate in every direction. Don’t be pulling your bag behind you through airports when you could have it rolling right beside you. The hard shell protects your stuff when bags get checked and tossed around. That’s really it. Everything I have is utilitarian. It has a purpose, it does its job well, and it doesn’t need to be fancy.
