Riverside

Riverside is simultaneously the best in its class and the most annoying tool you could possibly ever use. The recording quality is extremely high, and they have the high-quality recording thing down. But the company oversells it by saying you can stream with it. The streaming experience is terrible, and I would never recommend it to anyone for that.

It’s built to be a virtual high-quality recording platform, and that’s what it’s good at. It still has problems though. Audio issues, inconsistency, and the UI is clunky with so many processes running in the back. But give it its flowers. It’s one of the only things where you can record really high-quality 4K footage remotely between two people. If you’re recording a podcast and not doing anything live, it’s the move.
