Elgato Solid Arm
Auxiliary mounting arm for repositioning studio gear on the desk.
I originally got this when I was using a Sony ZV-1 as my camera. That camera was light enough that I could mount it directly on one of these, attached to the same arm holding my Elgato Key Light. It gave me another mounting point without needing a separate stand.
I stopped using it for a while after switching cameras, but recently brought it back into the setup. My desk has a beveled edge that makes clamping things a nightmare, so I’ve been moving gear around to work with grommet mounts instead. I took the key light off the main bar it ships with, moved it to the solid arm, and repositioned it to the left side of the desk where I could get a better mount. It’s not how Elgato intended it to be used, but it works with the constraints I’m dealing with. You can see it in the setup photo if you’re curious how it all fits together.
