ApexDesk Elite Pro Series
Electric standing desk with a wide surface and dual motors.
I’ve had this desk for five or six years now across three different rooms and two houses. The sit-stand motor is great, it doesn’t wobble, and it’s supported a lot of weight for a very long time. It’s a very good desk overall.
That said, it’s not perfect. The biggest issue by far is the beveled edge. Do not ever buy a desk with a beveled edge. It makes clamping anything to it a nightmare. The key light almost falls off sometimes because the clamps can’t get deep enough. For my mic arm, I literally had to cut a piece of wood to eliminate the bevel where I wanted to clamp it. It’s ridiculous.
The other thing is that it only goes down to about 29 inches, which doesn’t get low enough for proper ergonomics at my height. My ideal seated desk height is around 23 to 24 inches. If my next desk doesn’t go to the floor, it at least needs to get down to 25 or so. But the motor, the feel, the controls, the overall build quality: all good. It could be wider and deeper, and I’d love real wood, but it’s treated me well.
